Maple School Board approves FFA trip, summer school, staffing and construction bid

The Maple School Board approved several routine motions at its April 8, 2024 meeting, including permission for FFA students to travel overnight to the state Career Development Contest in Madison, adoption of the summer school calendar and registration plan for 2024, and acceptance of a single bid for a district house construction/house seal project.

The board heard from the district’s FFA adviser, who said three teams—farm business, floriculture and forestry—qualified for state and requested overnight travel and hotel accommodations for the two‑day contest. The board moved, seconded and approved the trip request.

The board also reviewed bids for a house construction/house seal project, noted that the district received a single bid above the advertised minimum, and accepted the bid after confirming funding availability.
