Board approves community survey contract, hires special‑education director and confirms graduates

At its regular meeting, the Cuba City School District board took several formal actions in open session.

The board voted to approve a contract with School Perceptions to conduct a community survey intended to inform referendum language options and gauge which mixes of program restorations residents would support. Board discussion addressed mailing reliability and optional services; the vote carried 6–1.

The board also approved the list of graduates for the Class of 2024 pending successful course completion, and it hired Whitney Casper as the district special‑education director effective July 1, 2024. In addition, the board approved Miss Christian as a volunteer high‑school softball coach.

Following those votes, the board moved and carried a motion to adjourn to closed session to discuss the performance of administrative staff.
