The McCall City Council voted May 14 to authorize the mayor to sign a sponsorship agreement with the Inland Northwest Toyota Dealers Advertising Association for a $20,000 title sponsorship of the 2026 Lakeside Liberty Fest, contingent on legal counsel's final approval of outstanding insurance language.
Erin Greeves, community engagement and public affairs director, presented the agreement and said the sponsorship would provide event marketing and on-site vehicles (about five) for the downtown/Legacy Beach event footprint; the revenue will help pay for expanded safety measures requested by the police department. City counsel and staff said they are still working through a small number of insurance provisions to align the sponsor's coverage with the city's insurer (ICRMP), and recommended approval subject to counsel's sign-off.
Council members praised staff for the work and noted the sponsorship supports sustainability and community programming. The motion to authorize the mayor to sign the agreement subject to legal review passed by roll call.
What happens next: Staff will finalize insurance language with Toyota's representatives and the city's insurer before executing the agreement.
