Keith Terry sworn in after ESD appointment; board elects Bill as vice chair

The Mill A School District board accepted a letter from the Educational Service District appointing a fifth director and administered the oath to the appointee, Keith Terry.

Keith Terry recited the oath of office, pledging to support the constitutions and to “faithfully discharge the duties of director of the Mill A School District,” as the board completed the appointment process. The board treated the ESD’s letter as a formal appointment and recorded a motion and vote accepting the selection.

Members then opened nominations for board leadership. Several directors spoke about the responsibilities of the chair and the value of rotating leadership; speakers emphasized giving all members an opportunity to participate and ensuring the chair communicates clearly. The board conducted roll-call voting for leadership positions. In the vice-chair vote, Bill received the majority and was elected vice chair. Members congratulated Bill and noted they would continue to support one another in their roles.
