Cooke County cancels Pub Works contract, approves Novo Solutions work-order system and budget amendment

Cooke County commissioners voted to cancel an existing work-order software contract with Pub Works and to enter a new agreement with Novo Solutions for Road and Bridge Precincts 2, 3 and 4.

Commissioner Siking led the discussion, saying the county had been evaluating alternatives and recommending a switch because "in the long run, it's going to save us pretty good chunk of money." A motion to cancel the Pub Works contract for Precincts 2, 3 and 4 passed 4-0. The commission then moved to approve an agreement with Novo Solutions for a new work-order software system and a related budget amendment; that motion also passed unanimously, 4-0.
