Christy Cole elected chair; vice-chair vote postponed

During routine opening business the committee carried out officer elections. A committee member nominated Christy Cole for chair; a second was recorded and members raised hands to elect her. The meeting was then handed to Chair Christy Cole.

Members decided to postpone the vice-chair election because an additional community member who might have filled that seat was not present. The presiding officer asked staff (Shelana) to add the vice-chair election to the next meeting agenda. The committee later completed routine housekeeping (approving May 8 minutes and an amended agenda) and adjourned.
