The SEER (curriculum) committee announced it will post a draft math framework on the district website for community review, with the public comment window open until Friday, June 14. The framework, the committee said, lays out district mathematical beliefs, long-term transfer goals, grade-level modules and essential questions; the district’s math-curriculum lead (Mr. Corb) will monitor feedback and recommend changes ahead of prospective board action in June or July.
Committee materials will include grade-by-grade modules showing standards, long-term goals and module-level descriptions; the committee said other content areas will follow the same format. Community members will be able to submit feedback through a Google form; selected community advisors for the committee will be appointed after the application window closes May 24 and notified by email.
Procedural housekeeping: a board staff member flagged repeated omissions in minutes that used the phrase 'motion carried' without roll-call detail; the board will vote to amend prior minutes to include full roll-call language where appropriate.
Briefly, the board also received an Intermediate Unit report: the IU has begun a search for a new executive director through the Chester County Intermediate Unit and circulated a written report to board members.
