Commission approves paving of rear driveway and parking area at 332 East William

The commission approved a request to pave an existing dirt driveway and rear parking area with concrete at 332 East William Street.

Staff reported the area has functioned as a dirt parking area since the building’s construction in 1925 and that aerial photos and site review show no trees were removed. The applicant said completing the pavement would reduce sediment runoff to the storm sewer and Huron River. Commissioners and staff noted the narrow driveway is largely hidden from the street and that drainage and site‑plan details will be addressed through the city’s permitting and site‑plan review process.
