Board rescinds superseded student‑rights policy as part of code consolidation

Cameron Liston presented the committee with a formal Board resolution to rescind an older Board of Trustees policy governing student conduct that had been superseded by subsequent Board of Regents actions and the unified student code of conduct.

"The matter before you is a formal board resolution rescinding a legacy BOT policy," Liston said, explaining the policy had been superseded years ago by the unified student code of conduct and academic misconduct policy and that there is no operational impact to rescinding the outdated manual entry.

Regents asked clarifying questions confirming that current student‑conduct procedures are governed by the unified code and that rescinding the legacy policy is administrative housekeeping to align the policy manual. The committee moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote.
