At its May 14 meeting the Facilities Committee handled a series of administrative items in addition to facility projects and the budget update.
Committee members agreed to forward two mechanically unsound vehicles (a Savannah van and a Hallmark trailer) to MunisBid as obsolete. The committee also authorized moving a Schrader Group/Terraform amendment forward to address PennDOT’s updated road‑improvement requirements at Park Avenue and 7th Street; staff said costs would be incorporated into the QE project contingency and would require PennDOT permitting.
The committee reviewed a proposed amendment to the PA Rush user agreement that would split one existing contract into two separate contracts to reflect a reorganization of the user group; district staff said the total guaranteed hours (500) remain unchanged but would be split between the two entities (250 each). The committee signaled it was comfortable forwarding the amended contracts with routine review.
Members also authorized sending the QE renovation advertisement for bid and agreed to circulate a proposed annual agreement with CHA (following CHA’s acquisition of Dewey) to the solicitor for legal review and to return contract language to committee before final board action.
