The Parks Commission on May 7 approved Resolution R8326 to add a fee tier for a wellness room at the senior center, a procedural change staff said will bring the room into the city’s formal fee schedule.
Jill McON, Recreation and Community Services Director, told the commission the room previously was not listed in the city fee schedule because the space has historically hosted independent contractors providing wellness services rather than being offered as a rentable room. The resolution creates a standardized tier for the wellness room but staff said it is not intended to make the room generally rentable as a public rental; rather the fee tier will provide consistent guidance for the department’s implementation.
A motion to approve the resolution was moved and seconded, and commissioners voted in favor by voice vote. Staff said the change follows an administrative review of fee policies and the reorganization that placed recreation under Jill’s division.
