Yarmouth Community Housing Committee reappoints John as chair; Greg elected vice chair

The Yarmouth Community Housing Committee voted May 11 to re-confirm John as chair and to elect Greg as vice chair.

The committee discussed officer roles earlier in the meeting after Drew said he wanted to step down from the vice-chair position. Members then proceeded with nominations. A motion to nominate Greg as vice chair was made and seconded; the roll-call vote recorded seven yes votes and the motion passed. John was nominated and seconded for reappointment as chair; the roll-call vote confirmed him with six yes votes and one abstention (Deardra).

Members discussed whether elections should be held when the full board is present, given upcoming absences, but opted to proceed. The committee did not identify a clerk at the meeting and noted that Jennifer Clifford will serve as the recording secretary to prepare minutes.

The committee moved on to other agenda items after completing the officer votes. The formal vote tallies were recorded by roll call during the meeting.
