Riverside trustees approve consent agenda including opioid settlement participation, budget amendment and procurement authorization

The Village Board approved its consent agenda on May 7, encompassing routine minutes and financial items and several substantive approvals that did not require separate debate.

Clerk Stenzel read the consent agenda, which included approval of the voucher list and meeting minutes; a resolution authorizing municipal work and permit compliance on state highway rights-of-way for 2026–2027; an ordinance amending the budget for the fiscal year beginning Jan. 1, 2025 and ending Dec. 31, 2025 to reflect additional expenditures and revenues; and a resolution approving participation in the nationwide opioid settlement and execution of a settlement participation form.

The consent agenda also included an ordinance amending village code procedures related to public safety employment benefits and a resolution authorizing the village manager to issue a purchase order to Stalker Radar Applied Concepts Inc. of Richardson, Texas, for an M360 message-and-speed ALPR-ready trailer for an amount not to exceed $30,000. No items were removed from the consent agenda and the board approved the package by motion, second and roll-call vote.

Because these items were adopted on the consent agenda, they will be implemented or scheduled for next steps per staff procedures; any follow-up or administrative tasks will be handled by the responsible departments and reported to the board as needed.
