East Hampton School District appoints Todd Galio as athletic director

The East Hampton School District this week approved Todd Galio as its new athletic director. Galio, who previously worked in school districts in Sag Harbor, Greenport and Shelter Island, said he is "energized and over the moon" to be joining East Hampton.

Galio will succeed Kathy Mastersonson, who is retiring in June. Mastersonson said she expects a "seamless transition" and told East End News, "He will be an amazing addition to East Hampton athletics." The district did not provide a pay scale or start date in the broadcast report.

Galio's responsibilities will include oversight of school sports, physical education, health education and driver's education. The appointment was approved by the district on Tuesday, according to the local segment.
