Miss Kelly, representing the recorder's office, told commissioners the office had taken in $193,145.95 in the first quarter of 2026, up from about $166,006.95 the same period last year. "So for the 2026, we have taken in a total of $193,145.95, which last year we had taken in about a $166,006.95," she said.
She said the office processed 104 marriage licenses in the quarter (compared with 89 the previous year), completed 54 plats and performed 47 surveys in the period. Staff emphasized that more than 90% of records are e‑recorded, reducing staff workload and storage needs, while noting some sensitive records remain shielded from general public access.
Commissioners praised staff for adapting to increased demand and noted that electronic recordings make processing more efficient even as some residents express concern about online availability of records. No formal action was taken; the report was accepted by the board.
