Veteran services reports 76 client appointments in February; committee honors long-serving VSO

The Adams County Health & Human Services committee heard a monthly report from veteran services and approved a resolution recognizing the county veteran service officer for 11 years of service.

In February the veteran services presenter identified in the transcript as "Rick" said the office handled 76 client appointments, 11 outreach visits, more than 400 phone calls, roughly 300 emails, 123 VA team messages and 10 faxes. The presenter noted a VA exam care training, participation in a new rural military and family coalition, and Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs monthly training as recent highlights.

The committee read and approved a resolution honoring the retiring veteran service officer; the resolution text in the record states an official retirement date of April 12, 2026.
