Local barber institute offers steep veteran discounts and training programs

A representative of the Immaculate Cut Barber Institute told the veterans committee on March 10 that the school will offer discounted haircuts for veterans every Tuesday through December 2026: $2.50 per haircut (two for $5), with service hours 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and 6 p.m.–8 p.m.

"We are a school that offers discounted services for our community and in this case we are coming to give you guys... discounted services because of your amazing and continued service," the representative said and provided the institute’s address and phone number for appointments.

The institute also described youth programs that provide barbering education for teens and evening classes for adults, and said it can offer free grooming services to veterans who are interviewing for jobs. Committee members thanked the institute and discussed outreach to advertise the program to veterans in need.
