The Greenwood Storm Water Board on April 8 approved several contract modifications and change orders tied to ongoing projects, including an increase in inspection services, quantity adjustments to existing contracts, and a small fence-replacement amendment.
Staff described a proposal from Wester Engineers to increase RPR (resident project representative) services by $25,600, bringing that firm’s contract to $160,000 to cover additional on-site inspection needs; the board authorized the increase. The board also approved change order number two for a project where staff reported an original contract figure and a quantity-based reduction (transcript figures provided by staff). Separately, the board authorized a staffing-hour increase for Metalland Oaks site work—clarified in discussion as an approximate $78,000 increase to make RPR on-site presence full time—and approved a related change order addressing an unforeseen conflict with a gas line and scope adjustments intended to preserve an existing tree.
The board also approved a $2,550 amendment with the contractor handling the Stone Gate pipe replacement to replace damaged fence panels around a dumpster enclosure, increasing that contract from $136,900 to $139,450. Motions to authorize these modifications were moved and approved during the meeting.
Staff said outside engineering review supported the adjustments and that contractual change orders will be processed according to legal department terms. Board direction included tracking change orders and providing updated pay applications and adjustments in project closeout records.
