Dolton Public Works responds to water main break near 152nd and Meadow Lane

The Village of Dolton reported a water main break near 152nd and Meadow Lane and dispatched Public Works crews to the scene, who used heavy equipment, including a vac truck, to locate the break, excavate the area and begin repairs to restore service and protect surrounding property.

Mayor Jason House, the Board of Trustees and the office of the Village Clerk formally recognized the ongoing efforts of the Village of Dolton Public Works Department, praising the team's urgency, teamwork and dedication in responding to the infrastructure issue.

Village officials said crews moved quickly to secure the site and begin repair work. The announcement emphasized that such work is often not visible from a distance but is essential to restoring water service and protecting the surrounding area.

Crews on scene used excavation equipment to access the damaged pipe and began the repair process; village officials did not provide an estimated time to full service restoration in the announcement.
