In additional business the commission unanimously approved an extraterritorial certified survey map (CSM) for the Hassler property in the town of Norway and granted a waiver for a metal accessory structure on Kelvin Court.
Adam said the Hassler property is over a mile from Muskego and unlikely to create downstream drainage impacts; staff recommended approval subject to technical corrections. On Kelvin Court staff described a 40-by-72 metal outbuilding (about 2,880 square feet) with color and architectural details that staff judged compatible; staff recommended approval with a condition to ensure removal of any temporary accessory structures on site.
Commissioners also discussed whether newer metal roofing products that mimic shingle appearance should require a planning-commission waiver. Staff recommended treating such products as acceptable when they visually match neighboring roofs; commissioners had no objections, meaning homeowners replacing shingle roofs with shingle-style metal products would typically not need a waiver.
Both the CSM and the accessory-structure waiver were approved, and the commission provided guidance to staff on roofing appearances rather than a formal rule change.
