Retirement board approves staff signatories, incumbency certificates and purchases Synthesia and Canva licenses; election notice posted

At its March 12 meeting, the Oklahoma City Employee Retirement System approved a set of administrative actions to update signatory authority and purchase staff communications tools.

The board voted to designate several staff members as authorized signatories and approved form incumbency certificates for the named employees. The approved designees named on the record include Gina Jordan (retirement system manager), Rea Lewis (assistant finance director), Jake Naylor (assistant city treasurer) and Mitchell Massie (assistant city treasurer); separate incumbency certificates for Jeta Jordan and Randall Lewis were also approved.

Board members also approved the purchase of one license each for Synthesia and Canva for retirement‑staff use. The chair said the software is intended to improve employee and retiree education and communications; the board approved the purchase by voice vote.

Gina Jordan, the retirement system manager, told the board that a regular board election notice will be posted the next day to fill Nagasha’s seat; the election is slated for certification in May, and the new term would run from July 2026 through June 2029. Jordan also noted a remaining community vacancy on the board.

These administrative motions were presented as routine, and each passed on motion and voice vote during the meeting.
