Greene County commissioners open bids for multiple road projects and take proposals under advisement

Greene County Commissioners opened competitive bids for several road‑work contracts and took the submissions under advisement for later action.

The clerk read line‑by‑line bids for chip‑seal projects from J.H. Rudolph and Company, Payless Solutions Inc., Evergreen Road Works and SC Construction & Materials; combined totals reported for individual vendors ranged roughly from about $566,648 to $610,905. The board also heard bids for CCMG crossing grants (combined packages reported in the $1.19 million to $1.39 million range) and county road resurfacing packages (Milestone and E&B Paving reported totals of about $736,783 and $829,528 respectively).
