At its May work session the Aberdeen Town Board approved several routine personnel appointments and a consent agenda that included a small property purchase and contract amendment.
The board reappointed five planning-board members whose terms had expired during departmental transitions: Roger Bone (post 1), Brook Pomerans (post 2), Adriana Jener (post 3), Barbara Alard (post 7), and alternate Daniel Baky. The planning director recommended reappointing the group together and the motion to reappoint them collectively carried.
The board also appointed Alexis Taylor to post 5 of the Historic Preservation Commission after staff said she had submitted an application and biography and had been interviewed. Staff noted the appointment fills a vacant citizen seat on the commission.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved a consent agenda that included (a) NCDOT purchase of 503 North Sand Hills Boulevard for $650 for minor replacement work, (b) an amendment to the town’s audit contract, and (c) authorization to advertise public notices required by North Carolina General Statutes regarding system-development fees. The consent agenda motion was seconded and carried with the board responding “all in favor.”
