On March 16 the board approved several historic-rehabilitation grant payouts under the city’s dilapidated-property/PACE program, while requesting follow-up on remaining work.
Staff presented final work on 111 East Main (requested $25,000) and duplex repairs at 811 East 2nd (one side requested $25,000). For the duplex, staff and board members noted a rear shed/structure that had not been addressed; the board agreed to approve a final on one side (811) and convert the other side (811½) to a midpoint payment so staff could return with a plan to complete the rear structure. The dollar amounts stated in the motion were $25,000 for the final side and $12,500 for the midpoint side.
The board also approved a final for an accessory structure at 515 Jefferson Street for $7,500. Members praised the visible improvements in downtown facades and asked staff to monitor follow-through on outstanding site elements that remained after payouts.
The board voted to approve the recommended mix of final and midpoint payments and directed staff to return with documentation about the remaining rear-structure work for 811 and next steps.
