Laredo ISD holds one-stop enrollment fair for 2026–27 school year

A Laredo ISD representative at Lamar Middle School urged parents to register students for the 2026–27 school year at a one-stop enrollment fair, saying the district is accepting students from preK3 through 12th grade and offering both online and in-person options.

The representative, speaking in the gymnasium, emphasized families should "don't delay. Register today," and listed documents required for new students: a birth certificate, Social Security number, proof of residency in LISD neighborhoods and a child's vaccination record. The event was presented as a "one-stop shop" where families with children in multiple schools can register all students at a single location.

The district noted that enrollment will also be available at all LISD campuses in the following days, and parents may register online through the district website. For families without a computer or internet access, school staff will assist with enrollment in person at any campus.

The representative highlighted supports available to enrolled students, saying teachers are certified in their subject areas and that LISD provides free transportation as well as free breakfast and lunch and, in many cases, supper.

Officials closed the presentation by stressing that registering early makes the start of the school year smoother and reaffirmed the district's tagline, "LISD the place to be."
