Council introduces consent items, grants and appoints Logan Glenn as finance director

The Mobile City Council’s pre-meeting included a broad consent list and an appointment introduced by the clerk.

Clerk-read consent items included authorization for the mayor to apply for and accept the 2025 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant (no local match); ABC Board recommendations for liquor and specialty hemp retail licenses; authorizations to remove weeds and assess costs; and a variety of purchase orders for software, vehicles and training. Several CIP transfers and contract amendments were also read into the record.

The clerk introduced Resolution 03410 to appoint Logan Glenn as Executive Director of Finance. Council took up the appointment at the pre-meeting and recorded no objections, advancing the item procedurally.

What’s next: Consent and resolution items were introduced for later consideration; the appointment was noted with no objections and will proceed through the council’s formal processes.
