Architects unveil schematic designs for new Cliff school; students and FFA recognized and approved for nationals funding

Decker architects gave the board a schematic design update for the new Cliff school on April 20. Project team members said the planned facility would be about 56,690 square feet and accommodate 195 students. Schematic design is complete and design development is starting; the firm emphasized resilient materials, flexible classroom configurations, community‑oriented spaces, and sequencing that keeps the current school active during construction.

The presentation showed a C‑shaped building layout with separate elementary and middle/high wings joined by a central hub with gyms and a cafeteria. Architects noted outdoor athletic areas and circulation planning for buses and arrivals, and said the project team has posted preliminary concepts on a public website accessible via a QR code for community review.

Earlier in the meeting the board recognized student achievements: a student of the month honor was presented and the FFA forage/pasture range team reported a state finish and qualification for nationals in Oklahoma City May 5–7. The board approved funding to support the FFA team'9s travel to nationals as an action item.
