80-plus runner Suzanne wins Frogfest 2026 age group

Suzanne, the winner of Frogfest 2026s 80-and-up category, said she began running at 59 and now competes in about 10 to 12 races a year. In a brief interview, she credited the races flat course and the events atmosphere for bringing her back each year and said she runs for health and camaraderie. She told the interviewer she has run this particular race about five times and prefers the 10K distance but chose the 5K this year because prize announcements were scheduled sooner. "I have a goal in life to live to 100," she said.
