The Alachua County Development Review Committee voted Thursday to recommend approval of final plats for phases 2A and 2B of the Flint Rock Agrihood to the Board of County Commissioners.
Staff described the proposal as a division of an already‑approved preliminary/final development plan into additional recording phases so the developer can time recording and construction across the phases. The area under review for phases 2A and 2B totals about 95.9 acres in a rural/agriculture future‑land‑use designation, and staff found the proposed plats consistent with the county comprehensive plan and the Unified Land Development Code.
Applicant representative Austin Blas of CHW told the committee he had no formal presentation and was available for questions. A committee member moved to recommend approval of the plats; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff informed the committee that the Board of County Commissioners will consider the plats on June 11 at 11:30 a.m.
