Board approves three Health Advisory Council nominees including two students

The Beaufort County School District Board of Education voted to accept three applicants to the district Health Advisory Council during its March 3, 2026 meeting.

Vice Chair Carr moved that the board accept Caleb Singleton (student), Moralda Angalas (student) and Sandra Limbo (teacher) for HAC membership; a board member seconded the motion and the chair recorded an affirmative voice vote. The board packet contained a two‑sided chart listing current HAC membership and the three nominees; two of the nominees are students, one is a teacher.

Dr. Carr, reporting for the academics committee, explained that HAC is a board committee and therefore membership requires board approval. The nominations were presented for recognition and a vote; the transcript documents the motion, second, and approval but does not include a roll‑call tally in the public record.
