Resident urges board to investigate storm-damaged trailer at Sunbeam Turle Park

A resident raised concerns at the Dec. 13 meeting about a storm-damaged trailer at Lot 18 in Sunbeam Turle Park that blew apart in last year’s storm and remains on site.

The resident said they cleaned debris from their yard after the storm, that city crews hauled the debris away, and that the trailer occupant — identified by the resident as 'Sharon' — suffered a stroke years ago and may no longer be alive. The resident asked staff to look into whether the trailer is part of an estate and whether the city can pursue removal or a claim against the estate.

A staff member acknowledged the concern and said they would check ownership records and see if an estate claim is feasible. The board discussed looking into ownership and next steps but did not take formal enforcement action at that meeting.

The resident’s account was offered as a public comment/new-business item; staff indicated next steps would include verifying current ownership and reporting back to the board at a future meeting.
