Residents urge city to address rough railroad crossings and intermittent traffic signals

During the public-comment period, resident Greg Carr raised safety and maintenance concerns about local railroad crossings that he said are “almost impassable at speed limits” and about multiple traffic signals that have been out around town. Council members noted the city engineer, Matt House, is responsible for rail and traffic-signal issues and asked staff to request a status report and update at the council’s next regular meeting.

Council President (name recorded primarily as Graham in roll call) said staff would contact the city engineer and asked Mr. Carr to return next month for an update. The council committed to follow up and provide Mr. Carr with a contact for further information.
