Peachtree City council to establish public art program and seven-member advisory group

Peachtree City Mayor Kim Learnard said the City Council agreed during its March 5 work session to move forward with establishing a public art program designed to enhance the city’s identity and civic pride.

"Peachtree City acknowledges that public art provides not just beauty, but meaning, identity, placemaking, and connection," Mayor Kim Learnard said. "So, we plan to move forward with a fivepronged implementation strategy. First, we'll establish a seven member public art advisory group. ... Third, we will secure funding by exploring grants, seeking donations, and establishing public private partnerships."
