Francisco Alvarado pleads and receives suspended sentences, restitution and probation

Francisco Alvarado told the court his offense was "a terrible mistake" before the judge accepted his plea and imposed concurrent suspended sentences and probation in two linked causes. The proceedings were heard in the 187th District Court before Judge Stephanie Boyd.

On cause number 2025 CR012615, the court found Alvarado guilty and sentenced him to two years in the state jail facility, suspended and probated for five years; the order required proof of employment within 45 days, prohibited employment as a home-health-care provider or unsupervised contact with minors, ordered regular reporting (by Zoom or in person), random UAs, monthly field visits for six months, 200 hours of community service, and $5,000 restitution to Demarion Jasmine. The court said the court-ordered community service would satisfy the restitution once completed.

On cause number 2025 CR012621 the court found Alvarado guilty and imposed a six-year sentence, suspended and probated for five years, with a probated $1,500 fine to run concurrent to the other cause. The court set similar probation conditions, ordered a defensive-driving course, and required proof of license and insurance for any driving.

Alvarado stated on the record that he understood the trial-court certification of his rights to appeal and that by following the plea bargain agreement he waived his right to appeal for those causes. The court noted the terms of probation, reporting requirements and treatment conditions and closed the matter.
