Laramie County School District #2 board approves hires, accepts resignations and renews administrator contracts

The Laramie County School District #2 board on a voice vote approved a slate of personnel hires, accepted two resignations and renewed administrator contracts for the 2026–27 school year.

During the section on resignations and hires the board moved to “approve the following personnel as presented, pending certification and background checks”: Dale Gilbert as assistant Pine Bluffs High School track coach; Stephanie Painter as Burns Elementary School principal; Laura Fornstrom as Pine Bluffs Junior High track assistant coach; and Richard Leaken as Burns groundskeeper for summer 2026. The motion to approve the hires was moved by Julianne and seconded by Kendra; board members responded to the customary voice roll call with “I.”

The board also acknowledged resignations and retirements, including Beverly Crump, Burns High School math teacher, effective at the end of the school year, and Evan Townsend, Burns High School principal. Board members thanked both employees for their service.
