Aransas County approves hiring outside counsel in Tim Lot v. Cheryl Davidson case

Aransas County commissioners voted to retain outside counsel to represent the county and sheriff in pending litigation styled Tim Lot v. Cheryl Davidson.

The court approved engaging Marshia Perez of Chavez Odigon and Murales (name and firm rendered in the meeting record as read aloud) to represent the county and sheriff in the case referenced during executive session. The motion was made, seconded and the present commissioners voted in favor; the county judge was absent.

The items discussed in executive session were read publicly before the executive session in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, and included contemplated and pending litigation involving downtown construction contracts and a separate pending lawsuit identified by title.
