Plan commission approves certified survey map splitting Mosquo Lakes Middle School property

The Muskego Plan Commission unanimously approved a certified survey map (CSM) for the Mosquo Norway School District on April 8 that will create three lots from the Mosquo Lakes Middle School property: the school parcel, an owned house lot and a 27.37-acre remnant intended for future decision-making.

Planner Adam Tresbyki said the CSM largely met code requirements but asked the district to increase lot three slightly so the house lot meets the comp‑plan density requirement (43,125 sq ft). The plan includes a proposed 60-ft right-of-way to encompass an existing emergency-access drive; staff recommended that the right-of-way need not be improved now but that future development of the back lot must construct the required road improvements.

Commissioners asked clarifying questions about the 4-ft separation between the right-of-way and the adjacent lot and confirmed the zoning would remain institutional for school-related uses on the remnant parcel unless the district seeks future rezoning. The motion to approve carried unanimously with the technical correction to reflect the 4-ft separation and the lot-size adjustment.
