Budget Advisory Committee sets April 20 council briefing, asks staff for operating statements

The Budget Advisory Committee handled a set of procedural items near the end of the meeting. Members moved to approve the minutes from the budget meeting two months prior (motion, second and an affirmative vote recorded). Committee members then decided to present an issue brief to city council and—after confirming member availability—set the briefing for April 20 (several members said April 27 was unavailable). Staff agreed to send a calendar invite.

Committee members also requested financial detail in advance of the next operating-budget discussion: two years of actual operating statements and the proposed 2026 operating budget, including enterprise funds (water, sewer, stormwater). Staff indicated they could provide two years of actuals and the 2026 operating budget detail for the next meeting, and the committee asked that written public comments previously provided by residents be included in meeting minutes.

No formal changes to policy or budgetary approvals were made at the meeting; the group adjourned after those administrative decisions.
