Pleasant Valley School District officials told the board the high‑school construction project is progressing on schedule and is entering a phase of interior finishes and site work that will continue through summer.
At the board meeting, the district’s construction manager described active work on electrical systems, fire alarms, speakers and data wiring, new rooftop HVAC units set during spring break, masonry and exterior wall panels, and work on ADA ramps and retaining walls. “We are starting finishes below the ceiling and the ceiling grid itself,” he said, noting new ceramic tile, restroom fixtures and window installations in the center core and admin section.
The manager said mechanical equipment — sectional boilers, hot‑water heaters, electrical switchgear and a new fire tank — is being installed and tested, and that crews will move to casework and millwork inside the building before turnover. He warned that crews continue to encounter existing site conditions that require adjustments, but added the team is resolving those issues as they arise.
Superintendent Dr. Roger Conrad (referenced in meeting materials) asked for updates to be posted as work is completed; staff said they will provide new exterior and interior photos and a revised phasing chart to the board. The district plans to continue coordination with the Pleasant Valley team for technology and furniture turnover and expects a busy summer push into late spring and summer months.
The board did not take formal action; staff said they will return with updates and photos at future meetings and will notify the board if any schedule or budget risks change.
