District names Jefferson athletic director, lists spring events and GreenState donation match

The Cedar Rapids Community School District announced on its April 9 podcast that Derek Dicson has been named the next athletic director at Jefferson High School, effective July 1, pending board approval. Hosts said Dicson has worked at Jefferson for six years as a teacher and coach and relayed Principal Sam Hostetler's endorsement of Dicson's passion for both the arts and athletics.
