The Gardner Planning Board continued a public hearing for property listed as 0 Emerald Street to its June 9 meeting after staff said the formal written withdrawal requested by the applicant had not been received.

Chair called the item and staff reported that while a withdrawal request had been received “without prejudice” through the Zoning Board of Appeals, the planning board had not yet been sent the formal letter. Chair asked for the formal letter before the board could close the item from its agenda.

After a brief procedural exchange the board voted to continue the hearing to June 9 pending receipt of the written request. No substantive testimony or additional public comment was recorded during the motion to continue.

The continuance leaves the item on the June 9 agenda for possible formal closure if the board receives the required letter before that meeting.
