The Clarenceville Board of Education on April 9 ratified a Letter of Agreement under Section 27L(2) with district bargaining units and approved related budget and personnel actions.
The board ratified the compensation agreement in a motion moved by Member C. Immonen and supported by Member A. Watt. Treasurer Marietti and Trustee D. Morgan did not vote on the agreement, citing conflicts of interest because their spouses are district employees; the motion passed with the remaining members voting yea.
Following that action, the board approved a one-time supplemental payment for 12 district employees who were excluded from the March 19 Letter of Agreement. Mr. Bergeron told the board the supplemental payment will be calculated using the same formula established in the agreement and funded from the district general fund. The motion to approve the supplemental payment was moved by Member C. Immonen, supported by Member P. Marietti, and passed unanimously among voting members.
The board also approved the 2025–2026 General Fund Budget Revision 1 after Mr. Bergeron presented the proposed adjustments; the motion was moved by Member C. Immonen and supported by Member A. Watt and carried by the board.
The board corrected a prior-minute error: the cost of a contract was amended to $86,000 (the record previously listed $486,000). The board approved routine consent items including personnel changes, a checks register and donations as presented in the agenda packet.
The meeting concluded with procedural business and adjournment at 7:54 p.m.
What happens next: the supplemental-payment amounts will be calculated per the agreement formula and reflected in payroll; budget revision implementation will proceed under the district’s general-fund authority.
