The Clarenceville Board of Education received an update on bond sale timing and approved multiple procurement items at its April 9 meeting.
Business/Support Services director Mr. Bergeron told the board that Standard & Poor's would issue a credit rating for the district’s bond sale; the district expects pre-pricing May 5, pricing May 6 and hopes bonds will be sold by the May 14 board meeting. President Myers said the bond committee had narrowed the Construction Manager search to two companies.
On procurement, the board approved purchase of firewall hardware, software licensing and five years of support from Delta Networking Services for $67,533; the cost will be charged to the General Fund over five years. The motion was moved by Member C. Immonen and supported by Member P. Marietti and passed unanimously among voting members present.
The board approved hiring Wild Brothers Outdoor Services for lawn and grounds maintenance at $31,500 after Mr. Murphy reported that Shourd Landscaping retired and new bids were solicited; the motion was moved by Member C. Immonen and supported by Member A. Watt.
The board also approved the second one-year renewal of the food service management contract with Southwest Food Excellence (SFE) and authorized the superintendent or designee to execute necessary documents.
These procurement approvals follow routine review by Business/Support Services; implementation tasks were assigned to the appropriate departments and will proceed under existing purchasing and contracting processes.
The meeting concluded with announcements about upcoming events and adjournment at 7:54 p.m.
