Votes at a glance: H949 referred to Finance; H508 passed; S210 concurred

The Senate handled several procedural and voting items during the session.

Early in the day, the body moved that the Senate Education Committee be relieved of H949 and that H949 be referred to the Committee on Finance; the motion was approved by voice vote. Later, the Senate passed H508 (amendments to the charter of the city of Burlington) in concurrence with the House proposal of amendment, and the Senate concurred in the House proposal of amendment to S210 (access to autopsy reports) after the Health & Welfare committee reported agreement with changes that preserved judicial discretion and framed the state's role in considering whether disclosure would interfere with an ongoing criminal investigation.

Procedural votes also ordered H237 and H733 to third reading after committee reports and substitution of a committee amendment in H237. The Senate adjourned until Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 1 p.m. Committee meeting times were announced on the floor.
