Appropriations officer Laura briefed the council on a set of reappropriations and a small transfer of funds tied to a community group's separate bank account. She said the 4112 (IRAX) account holds less than $4,000 and that the county would transfer remaining funds to the entity that now maintains its own bank account.
Health-department staff reported that an on-site vaccine refrigerator had a compressor and electrical failure. Because the department uses 24/7 temperature monitoring, no vaccine doses were lost; staff moved supplies immediately to other monitored units and obtained approval to use restricted state funds to purchase a replacement. The department said the vendor offered a roughly 35% discount on the replacement. Council members approved the requested appropriations and thanked staff and maintenance crews for the quick response.
Council also approved other listed appropriations (including local road and bridge match and non-taxpayer internal transfers) as presented in the packet. No new ongoing programs were created; the actions reallocated previously authorized balances to the current fiscal year where needed.
