The Palatka CRA voted unanimously to accept a refreshed branding and wayfinding packet intended to promote downtown as a visitor destination.
Greta, who presented the rebranding concepts, said the designs respond to feedback gathered from the Chamber of Commerce and previous CRA meetings and emphasize "Old Florida," the river and downtown character. The packet includes interchangeable logo versions—some with a sun motif and others without—so staff can select formats optimized for letterhead, signage and digital media.
Commissioners praised the updated look and asked staff to coordinate school and community partnerships for the city gateway sign and to ensure signage variants fit different production needs. Commissioner Campbell said the design was "clean and colorful and attractive." Mayor and commissioners authorized the city manager and staff to proceed with implementation, including ID badging and website updates, noting that color choices and production specifics should be finalized before ordering items that would later need reprinting.
The rebranding motion passed with a second and unanimous vote; staff will move forward with production and necessary follow‑up steps.
