Agency assumes ownership of Mauston Senior Village effective Jan. 1; staff handling transfers and repairs

The Central Wisconsin Community Action Council’s PBP Committee confirmed that the agency assumed ownership of Mauston Senior Village effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Staff member Fred Hebert reported the agency has received three insurance settlement checks related to roof repairs at the property and is working to transfer accounts and complete other administrative tasks required for the project. Staff member Susan Kelso said she is managing leases and ACH form processing as part of the transition.

Committee members did not vote on additional spending at the meeting; staff described the immediate tasks as account transfers, vendor coordination for roof work covered by insurance, and lease administration. Staff will report further details as they complete the onboarding tasks.
