The Woodland Park City Council unanimously approved three appointments at its May 7 meeting.
Council members moved and seconded to appoint Ryan Skajewski to a two-year reappointment on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and to appoint Rick Roberts to fill a vacancy through April 2027. Both appointees were sworn in and signed the oath of office.
Later in the meeting the council unanimously appointed Joe Fury to the Planning Commission after he described long-term residency in the city, 27 years in the Air Force and professional experience in engineering and facility planning. Fury also took the oath of office.
Ryan Skajewski said he has served about one year on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and highlighted community engagement for the Avengers open space and interest in biking and e‑bikes. Rick Roberts, who described 20 years of military morale/welfare/recreation experience, said he hopes to bring operations and facility-planning experience to local parks and recreation governance. Joe Fury said his engineering background includes facility siting and explosive-safety considerations for launch bases.
Each appointment was approved unanimously and the new members were sworn in at the meeting.
