Board approves start of bond issuance to fund building projects (Resolution 18F)

The Mahwah Township Board of Education voted to begin the district’s bond-issuance process under resolution 18F, a measure the administration described as the start of a multiyear capital investment in roofs, HVAC and program-space upgrades.

According to the presentation, the bond work is expected to begin as soon as this summer and will support projects with useful lives of roughly 20 to 25 years. The administration said the bond authorization is the procedural start of capital work supported by prior voter or board-approved planning and thanked the community for its support.

One board member noted gratitude to the community for supporting the infrastructure investment.
