Sedexo reports grounds work complete and custodial work orders at 100%; district announces enrollment and event dates

Mike Caitens of Sedexo updated the board on grounds and custodial operations, saying grounds crews and sports field staff have done an "excellent job" preparing facilities and that a Sedexo regional grounds manager visited and praised recent upgrades. Caitens described a switch to new floor‑stripping equipment that reduces slip hazards and said custodial work orders are at 100% completion; he also noted a health and safety audit by Echosure was scheduled for the coming Tuesday.

Later in the meeting district staff announced kindergarten roundup numbers (15 at Carlile, 85 at Sullivan), detailed enrollment windows and open houses for the 2026–27 school year (enrollment days in early August, orientation dates, and an August 12 start to the school year), and listed upcoming events including prom, senior awards and graduation scheduled for May 23 at 11 a.m.

The grounds update and enrollment announcements were informational; no board votes were required. Staff said they will circulate the Sedexo report and continue preparations for end‑of‑year activities and the pending audit.
